With a combined experience of 45 years in high school, college preparation and SAT tutoring, we understand the importance of navigating students’ growth through the triumphs and difficulties of adolescence. By providing, in conjunction with Inspirations in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, a source of education and continued learning for adolescents whose lives have been sidetracked by alcohol and/or substance abuse, we are leading teenagers down one of the most tried and true paths toward a successful recovery.

Ocean Prep School is an accredited college preparatory high school that offers an on-site state-certified High School education program for adolescents that are picking up where they left off within the educational system. Also provided is tutoring, SAT prep, and GED classes for adolescents in recovery, who have abandoned high school or forgotten the importance of continued education in shaping their lives for the future. The experienced staff of Ocean Prep School is always available to guide those students that are in recovery and are making their transition into living a clean, sober life.

At Ocean Prep School each student is unique in talents, abilities and needs. The learning environment, created by professionals with over 35 years of combined experience working with adolescents, is one of trust, safety, and respect. At Ocean Prep School teachers are certified in their content area and all texts and materials are provided for each student. Homework is assigned, and those who have forgotten the routine of a classroom are invited to participate once again and pave the road back to a normal teenage life. The curriculum is individualized for each student and a high school diploma is awarded for those who complete their requirements while in recovery at Inspirations.

Continuing education for teens in recovery offers them a chance to show their intelligence and breath of knowledge in an intimate classroom setting. We have found that adolescents that work concurrently on their recovery and education utilize the latter in unprecedented ways by exceeding in certain subjects and are unhampered by the negativity of their former peers.

School is what is normal to a teenager. At Inspirations, Ocean Prep School strives to create that normalcy for the adolescent students and return to them a segment to be completed.
